The Lent period is an important time to prepare for the great good news of Easter. Various of our member churches are running a selection of activities that you would be very welcome to join.

Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity’s Lent Course will be on Saturdays at 9.30am for five weeks, commencing on Saturday 7th March. This year we are going to look at material entitled ‘Where the lost things go’ written by Lucy Berry and based on the film ‘Mary Poppins Returns’.
Methodist Church
Gill Hulme (minister) will be leading a 5 session course called ‘Finding a voice’ by Hilary Brand based on the popular film ‘The Kings Speech’. The course start on Wednesday 4th March from 2pm to 3.15pm in the Wesley hall at the back of the Church. You do not have to attend all 5 sessions. St Michael’s
Join us for Holy Communion at 10am or Sung Eucharist with the Choir at 8pm. Both services include acts of penitence and the option to receive the imposition of ashes.
These short meditations will be in the Lady Chapel from 12:30-1pm on Tuesdays from 3rd to 31st March , with the theme ‘People of the Passion’. The sessions will be followed by soup lunch at 1pm in the Windhill Churches Centre; donations to charity.
Café Alpha – Would you like a little taste of Alpha? It’s a course that looks at some of the ‘big questions’ of life: an introduction to the basics of the Christian faith, via a series of talks and discussions. We’re holding a session on the morning of Saturday 28th March in the WCC, from 10:30am-12:30pm. There will be a children’s craft session too.
St Joseph’s – Lenten Lunch.
Friday 13th March, 12 noon – 1.30pm in the Windhill Churches Centre. Soup, bread & cheese, tea & coffee. Donations please towards CAFOD Lent Fast Day appeal.
